After overhearing a corrupt businessman, Mo (Fong Hak-on), and his cohorts plotting to take over the town of Fu Shang by killing the town's Headman, Cashier Hua (Casanova Wong) is forced to go on the run from the murderous conspirators. He finds refuge hiding out at the residence of Mr. Tsang (Leung Kar-yan), a doctor and master of Wing Chun. Tsang's lead student, Fei Chun (Sammo Hung), manages to persuade his master to train Hua in the deadly martial art of Wing Chun so that he may protect himself from his pursuers. When Mo's men eventually discover Hua's whereabouts, the newly skilled Hua teams up with Fei Chun and a fellow Wing Chun student to fight against the villains in a battle to the death.
